People “have more control than they realize,” says Chuck Hill, volunteer mediator for Nashville Conflict Resolution Center and professional mediator. “Mediation is an opportunity…(for) people to be self-sufficient.” When in the midst of going to court or having a judge determine a family’s future, “there are alternatives,” such as mediation, says Chuck. With mediation, people do not need “to rely on” the unpredictable nature of the court system and are often better able to predict their own futures through mediation – and “have more control than they realize.”

In his service through Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, Chuck mediates, serves on the Board of Directors and teaches advanced mediation techniques to new volunteers.

“Chuck is like many professionals who volunteer,” says Megan McInnis, founder of Doing Good. “Many professionals use their workplace skills and talents in their volunteerism. And as a result, agencies and their clients throughout the community benefit!”
